In Touch Ministries App Reviews

I reviewed this new version several months ago and keep waiting for the improvements. Sadly, its not happening. Before the update there was an icon called "Gods promises" that was full of wonderful scripture that was categorized by a list of relatable words. For example, if you touched the word "parent", it brought up several relatable scriptures. It was so helpful and I used it several times a week. As for the technical things, when I listen to sermons on the new app, I cant play it through my phone. If I have music playing and I open the app, it plays during my music. The old app would stop my music and I could control it through my iPhone music controls. Now I have to open the app to turn off a sermon. I hope you guys will bring back the features of the old app. I wonder if any of this has been presented to Dr. Stanley, because Im pretty sure he would agree with me.

When I open the app it says Im not connected to the Internet. Please fix.

Ever since the update, the app frequently falsely states devices are "offline" and wont allow you to connect to content.

Since update app will not open on iPhone 5s no matter what I try. There is nowhere to get app support either.

Ive noticed when I click on any link in the app that takes it to the website that it goes to some magazine article and then no other links work on the website. Ive also tried going directly to the website by typing in intouchministires.org which still takes me to the magazine article and wont let me go to any other area on the website including the "contact us", hence this comment under the app reviews. Something is obviously wrong with the website. Please correct this as soon as possible. Sorry I had to leave this comment here but it is the only way I can contact InTouch.

I love the app but lately its not working INTR/24 7 hasnt been on for almost 2 weeks i love being able to wake up refreshed and now im not able to as much please fix

Where are all of the rest of the promised fixes and restorations? Many people have lost their bookmarks (self included), and cannot access crucial Biblical information. This is so unfitting for the caliber of Dr. Stanleys ministry. Does he even know how poorly this is being handled?

The app doesnt work well. Took away Gods promises.

Thank you everyone at in Touch Ministries for supplying a way for me to have my daily devotions. My brother told me about this app over a year ago and it soon became part of my daily routine. I work long hours every day, usually 12 to 15 hours a day, I get up at 5:30am and try to be in bed by 11:00pm. I have very little time to stop and read except for weekends. But this app allows me to have devotion every morning along with prayer and most of the time I end up finishing my prayers on the way to work. The daily devotions are powerful and God has spoken to me through these devotions many times and I have to say, very clearly and keeps do so. He has mended my heart during hard times, gave me strength and assurance when I felt hopeless, messages for family members and coworkers when needed, and most of all I have learned about scriptures more through these daily devotions then all my years of reading the scripture alone. I didnt have a relationship with the Lord because I didnt know how, but In Touch thought me how and all via the daily devotions. The app may have some problems from time to time and mostly it is due to the In Touch website. When the website is down, the app doesnt respond. I do agree it could use some improvements, but its not about the app., its about the message. Thank you In Touch Ministries and thank you Dr. Stanley.

The latest update (appears to have updated today, Nov 5) does not work. The daily devotional does not load on my iPhone or iPad. A great app until this latest update.

I use this app literally everyday, all day. I love how ITRN 24/7 plays Dr. Charles Stanleys sermons non-stop! His teaching is so precious. I cant stop taking notes and words cannot express how much this app has helped me stay "In Touch" with God so closely. Very grateful for Dr. Charles Stanley and In Touch Ministries!!

We are hoping that the AppleTV 4 app will contain mor content soon.

The scripture link in the daily devotional has been inactive in iPhone & iPad for some time. I want to give this app a higher rating but this is a serious flaw that has been unaddressed for way too long. PLEASE FIX!!!

Ive listened to Dr. Stanley since I was in high school back in the 80s. He teaches accurate doctrine and Im thrilled to have all these resources on the iPhone. I would leave 5 stars for content but the app frequently gives Low Memory warnings and shuts down while Im listening to a sermon. Once I get back in and start the sermon again, the app doesnt remember my place and starts the sermon at the beginning again. I hope the can fix these problems. Still, its definitely a "must have" app! UPDATE: Ive had this app for a couple of months now and still no update. It looks like theres no update in sight from InTouch. Im disappointed. This app is such a resource hog that it shuts down everytime I run it. Its nearly unusable! UPDATE 2: Over a year and still no updates?! Why cant this app run in the background like the other sermon apps I have? Why does the audio have to stop if I shrink the app?! Come on guys! Update this already!! UPDATE 3: Were now well into 2016 and the donate "Gift" link isnt usable with a touch screen device (i.e. iPhone). When I tap to give, the keyboard fails to pop up. How am I supposed to enter my username and password without the keyboard?

App used to be 5 stars, but now the link to the Bible verse does not work and there are no listings under Gods promises.

This has become my favorite devotional app. InTouch does a great job of teaching Gods word and nesting its delivery in a well design context. The latter is usually craptacular in most Christian oriented content. My only beef: The iconography could be improved upon, the TV looks like a 70s manual dial and who has used an antenna in the last 20+ years?

This app has been such a blessing. Its so wonderful to be able to start each day with a sermon from Dr. Stanley!
